On Friday September 20th 2024, AAMUSTED-M Model Basic School held its maiden graduation Ceremony to honour the hard work, resilience and accomplishment of its first graduating class.
This event marked the culmination of years of dedication by the pupils and the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their lives. The ceremony commenced with a procession by the graduands, teachers, invited dignitaries and the university officials. Miss Serwaa Nyamekye Frimpong, one of the graduands welcomed the dignitaries and the invited guest to the programme. The Chairman of the School Management Committee, Rev. Dr. Oduro Okyireh gave the purpose of the programme and Professor Richard Amankwah Kuffour also gave a brief history about the school.
Other dignitaries including Professor Emmanuel Dartey, the Dean of the Faculty of Science Education who represented the Principal, congratulated the graduands and shared some words of wisdom with the pupils. They entreated them to continue to hard work to enable them make meaningful contribution in their lives and the society. The representative of the Director of Education, Mampong, Early Childhood Department praised the graduands and commended the teachers and other non-teaching staff for their dedication and unflinching commitment toward the welfare of the pupils.
The graduands took turns to receive their certificates and other parcels on the podium amidst cheers and applause from the audience. Prayers were said for the graduands and the other pupils by Rev. Kwame Nkrumah Hope. University officials who were present at the ceremony were Professor Emmanuel Dartey, Dean, Faculty of Science Education, Professor Mrs. Margaret Esi Essilfie, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture Education, Rev. Dr. Oduro Okyireh, Dean, Faculty of Education and General Studies, Mr. Richard Kwadwo Mprah, Campus Registrar, and Mr. Osei-Bediako Appau, the Deputy Director of Academic Affairs.
Parents, families, friends and the entire university community graced this memorable occasion to cheer the graduands. The audience were entertained by some cultural displays, choreography and poem recitals by the pupils. The ceremony marked not only academic successes but also growth, friendship and memories each pupil would carry forever.
