The Department of Environmental Health and Sanitation Education (DEHSE) at AAMUSTED, Mampong Campus, has introduced an Academic Excellence Award Scheme for students. The awards aim to recognise outstanding academic performance and encourage students to strive for academic excellence. This is reserved for students who obtain Grade A in all Departmental courses during the semester. The award will be presented to deserving students each semester in the academic year.

The Head of Department, Ing. Prof. Isaac Monney, is currently sponsoring the awards. However, future editions will be supported by corporate bodies and Alumni.

For the First Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year, the recipients of the award are:

Speaking at the awards ceremony, the Campus Registrar, Mr Richard Kwadwo Mprah, expressed his excitement about such an initiative and encouraged the students to take their studies seriously. He stated that this initiative is the first of its kind in the University and should be sustained. The Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Health Education, Prof. Bismark Dwumfour-Asare, also expressed his joy on seeing this initiative implemented and urged that it should be extended to other departments to motivate students to give their best.
