On Monday, 1st December 2025, UEW-CCU showed unflinching commitment to community development by presenting farm equipment valued at GHS 5,000.00 to the Mampong Municipal Assembly. This was done as part of preparations toward the upcoming National Farmers’ Day celebration in 2025. The gesture was received with alacrity during a brief ceremony attended by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Issifu Yakubu, who graced the event together with the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Mohammed Mumuni, the Municipal Director of Agriculture, Mrs. Anira Dwomoh and the Municipal Internal Auditor, Mrs. Sylvia Nkrumah Hope.

Present at the presentation to represent the Union were Rev. Kwame Nkrumah Hope, Assistant Board Secretary of UEW-CCU, who presented the items on behalf of the Board and Management; the UEW-CCU Asante Mampong Branch Manager, Mr. Patrick Kuranchie; and its Deputy Manager, Rev. Cosmos. The donation included 15 cutlasses, 5 pairs of Wellington boots, 7 knapsack sprayers, and a water-pumping machine meant to make the Assembly well prepared for the national event scheduled to take place at the AAMUSTED Asante Mampong University Field.

The Municipal Chief Executive, in his remarks, described the donation as timely and highly appreciated, stressing that it epitomizes what institutional partnership should mean towards local development. He expressed confidence that this gesture would mark the beginning of even stronger collaboration between the Municipal Assembly and the UEW Cooperative Credit Union, especially as the municipality prepares to welcome dignitaries and farmers from across the country for this year’s celebration.
