The 2022/2023 batch of executives of the Ghana Science Students Association (GHASSA), Asante Mampong Campus of AAMUSTED on Monday 29th January, 2024, donated items worth GHc 31, 000.00 to the Faculty of Science Education on behalf of the members of the association to be distributed to the Departments in the Faculty.
The items included PCR machine components, P.A. systems for lectures, Extension cables and waiting seats. Presenting the items, the immediate past president of GHASSA, Mr. Yusif Issah stated that the association offered to support the Faculty in view of the challenges students faced during lectures, laboratory sessions and also whilst waiting for assistance at the Departments, and expressed the hope that their donation would go a long way to improve the situation at the Faculty.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Management of Asante Mampong Campus, the Dean of the Faculty of Science Education, Professor Emmanuel Dartey thanked the students for their kind gesture and assured them that the items will be put to good use to enhance teaching and learning at the campus. Present at the short ceremony were Professor Ebenezer Ekow Mensah, Ag. HOD, Department of Integrated Science Education, Papa Kofi Amissah-Reynolds, Ag. HOD, Department of Biological Sciences Education, as well as some lecturers and students of the Faculty.
