Ten lecturers at the University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (USTED), formerly known as the Akenten Appiah Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), have been ranked among the top 1,000 Scientists in Ghana.

This is published in the ADScientific Index 2026 Ghana Top 1,000 Scientists ranking available online at https://adscientificindex.com/pdfs/toplists/ghana-top-scientists.pdf?v1664356603.  The recognition demonstrates the University’s growing scholarly influence and affirms its steady contributions to research, innovation and national development.

Leading the representation is Prof. Ebenezer Bonyah, who is ranked 32nd in Ghana. He is followed by Dr Courage Simon Kofi Dogbe at 209th, Prof. Humphrey Danso at 219th, and Prof. Yarhands Dissou Arthur at 375th. Also featured are Dr Claudia Nyarko Mensah at 489th, Prof. Isaac Boateng at 520th, Prof. Isaac Monney at 538th, Prof. Bismark Dwumfour-Asare at 551st, Dr Prince Gyimah at 664th, and Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual at 836th. The AD Scientific Index derives its national scientist rankings from publicly available Google Scholar data, using six transparent indicators for each researcher: H-index, i10-index, and citation count, each assessed for both the career total and the last five years.

This achievement is a source of pride for the University and a clear indication of the growing national relevance of the scientific research conducted at USTED.

It shows that the Universityโ€™s academic staff are making meaningful contributions in fields that matter to national development. Most significantly, this is also a proud reminder that USTED is steadily strengthening its place as a respected centre of academic distinction and research relevance in Ghana and beyond.

As USTED continues to expand its mandate in skills training, entrepreneurship, research and innovation, this honour provides further motivation to pursue even higher standards of scholarship and institutional impact. The University congratulates these distinguished lecturers on their well-deserved recognition and celebrates this achievement as a collective victory for the entire University community.
