We congratulate Ing. Prof. Isaac Monney, Head of the Department of Environmental Health and Sanitation, AAMUSTED, on his recognition at the 9th Edition of the FortyUnder40 Ghana Awards held on September 5, 2025, at the Labadi Beach Hotel, Accra. The Forty under 40 Ghana Awards identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of Ghana’s most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age of forty from a wide range of industries.

Prof. Monney was honoured for his visionary leadership in founding Sterling Heights Academy, an educational institution that has generated employment and transformed education in an underserved community, and for pioneering Ghana’s first car-wash wastewater recycling system, promoting sustainable water reuse and environmental protection.

At just 36, Prof. Monney also earned promotion to Associate Professor, making him one of Ghana’s youngest academics to achieve this milestone. He has extensive research experience, with nearly 40 peer-reviewed scientific articles and approximately 1,000 citations to his name. He has also been involved in numerous consultancy projects funded by international development partners, which has earned him a wealth of practical experience in water and sanitation.

Congratulations, Prof. Monney! Keep innovating, driving sustainable development, and inspiring the next generation.
